I did a compression check today and I have 185psi across the board. So it looks like the last 13k at 8psi has def. been good to me and def. bad for many other unsuspecting drivers out there
It reminded me of how much I truely love to have this thing on my car. Just wanted to share my happiness

Cool, that's great to hear!
Just wondering but did you install the 310's yet?

How did you check the compression Javin?
Important things:
- PGM-FI fuse pulled from underhood fuse-box
- all plugs pulled (not just one at a time)
- floor the gas while cranking
- crank her about 8 times
I checked mine about 2 weeks ago and read 220-230 on all 4. 25K and 10 months with turbo. The actual number itself isnt so important as a deviation in the numbers across cylinders. Yours sounds in good shape, but tell me if you did those 4 things.

Nope, I did it the (apparently) wrong & "Common" way but I will redo it ASAP and see what it really is. Though there is no deviation so that is good. I just pulled one plug at a time (they look great but I am gonna try out some Iridium's soon) unplugged all plug wires from the distributor (pulling the fuse will eleviate this task) and cranked it for about 5 sec. The shop that sponsors me as been trying them in the owners Turbo Golf and I think they are gonna run them in the two cars they are turboing right now. Have you guys ever seen these things? I have the NGK hi-po platinums but and the comparison on tips would be copper=crayola/hi-po plat=small drinking straw/Iridium=short stirer straw
It is teeny tiny. The cars they are working on is one 6G SOHC Civic with a fully built motor (the place that built the motor rated it at 30psi
) FMAX kit and NOS. The other is another 6G Civic they did a LS motor swap and a custom turbo kit with a Ballistic BB turbo (shop said this is the one of the best turbo's out there). They both should be real screamers
Well thanks Mark and I'll let you'll know what happens with round two

It does not matter about the plugs each chamber seals separately. The thing you must do is crank each cyclinder the same times. Time does not matter if you crank one 4 times and the others 5 times, you are going to get differnet numbers.
The test you did is fine i would not do it again. All the people i have talked to say to crank it 5 times. The first stroke is the most important in our cars the first stroke should net 75psi+

Did you make sure to floor the throttle during the cranking? If not, your results will end up low.
I had 210 all around and I have 115K on the engine.
